What is a period????

When will my first period come?? Since you first heard the word "period," you've probably been wondering what it is and when you'd get your first period. Although most girls get their first period between 11-14 years old, you could start your period anywhere from 8-17 years old.You could narrow that down by taking clues from your body. During puberty, when your body becomes sexually mature, you'll have some of these changes that show your period's on its way. (By the way, these changes may happen in a different order than listed here.)Developing Breasts. First, you'll get breast "buds". (Your breasts then can take up to 3-4 years to fully develop.) Generally you will get your period 2-3 years after your breasts start developing. Growing Pubic Hair. Right after your breasts start to form, you'll start developing pubic hair. It will be soft and thin at first, then gradually become coarser. Your period usually arrives around 1-2 years after the hair development. Discharge. This is the big sign. You'll start to experience vaginal discharge that will be either white or yellowish. If you like, you may want to start using Alldays Pantiliners to protect you underwear. You period should start around 6-12 (but up to 18) months after the start of discharge. There's one more way to figure out when you'll start menstruating: Ask your mom. You'll probably get your period within a year or so of when she got hers.Since you'll only have a general idea of when you'll get your period, you might want to do some planning. Most girls will use pads at least for their first period. Your first period will probably be fairly light so Always Thin Maxi Regular or Always Thin Ultra Regular would be a good choice of pad. If you are physically small, you may want to consider Always Thin Ultra Slender. It's a good idea to keep a pad or two hidden in your locker at school, and carry another in your backpack. This way you won't be caught off guard when it does happen.
Relax, you will get your period, and you'll have them for a long time!

Do's and Don't's in flirting.

Okay Lucy and I were just remembering a really embaressing moment I had with a guy I use to like, because of my bad flirting :P
So I've decided to help you guys out so you don't end up in an akward situation like I did.
okay first I'll start with the don't because their actually kinda funny.
DON'T
1. Don't tell them to act homsexual.
(I did this this and it was really embaressing because he had a stalker and I told him to pretend to be Homosexual so she'd just want to be friends and it didn't go down to well... So just DON'T DO IT!)
2. Don't use dumb chat up lines.
Guys just really don't go for them... They use them and I'll be going through the WORST chat up lines ever but seriously don't use them!
3. Don't lie. If they say they do something, don't say you do it too if you don't. Serious they'll find out and then they won't understand why you lied.
4. Don't write a song about them. Well... If you wanna do what I do and write simply to get a guy out of your system then fine do that but don't sing it to them... or do what my guy friend did and post it on youtube for everyone in your school to hear.
5. Don't stalk them. Like if they are playing in a match and some of your friends are going then fine tag along, but don't hang around outside his house. It'll freak him out.
6. Don't ignore him. I know alot of people say play hard to get and he'll be more intrested but seriously would you like a guy to ignore you? Or would you rather he talked to you and treated you well?
7. Don't be too obvious that your flirting with him or he could get scared off (men right?) but rather just drop little hints.
8. Absolutely do not stare. This will definatly freak him out and remember guys talk about girls just as much as we talk about them... and if a creep stared at you, you'd tell your friends right?
9. Don't over do it. Just some simple compliment and laugh at his lame jokes. Guys can be just as insecure a girl are.
10. Don't be a big flirt and flirt with every other guy in the room, because when a guy does that, he's a player and no one likes or pursues a player.
Okay the DO'S.
1. Smile at him when you see him. Don't act cold and distant towards him or he'll think you don't like him.
2. Make as much eye contact as possible with him. It'll show him your confident and any lad will tell you there's nothing sexier then someone with confidence.
3. Laugh at his jokes. (yes even the stupid ones. it'll make him feel good about himself)
4.Talk to him first. Now there is a whole lot of nonsense going around saying a guy should start the conversation, but maybe he is shy (trust me I know a really shy guy but underneath he is so sweet and lovely)
5. Make sure you pay attention to what he's saying. If he tells you about his family ask him how they are and ask about his hobbies, so he'll know you were listening.
6. Make yourself look approachable. If your standing or sitting with a big group of girls, he's gonna feel unbelievably self concious going up to you, so make sure you don't have your back turned and smile, making yourself look friendly.
7. if you feel that he is totally into you, make a move. 95% of guys said they'd like for a girl to make the first move.
8.When talking to him, make sure your body is pointing towards him, palms flat and open towards him, your feet straight and pointing at him, it let's him know your completely focus on him and your attention isn't wandering.
9. If you suck at something like if you were me let's say throwing a football. Then why not as your crush to 'help' you? You'll have to stand close together and you'll definatly know if you've got chemistry or not.
10. If he's talking or telling a joke, place a hand on his arm or shoulder or lightly tap him.
I hope you find these helpful and trust me don't do any of the don'ts!
Anyway I'll be to sure to put up the WORST chat up lines soon :)
Love
Rose <3
